Briefing

What we call hard targets are made of steel and concrete.
Soft targets are made of meat. There are many difficult
distinctions to be made in bomb damage assessment.

When the starving dogs eat the corpses in the rubble,
we call that collateral damage. This occurs when
target acquisition is degraded by the weather.

This, on the other hand, is a successful sortie. See
the crosshairs in the blinking green rectangle. The laser
illuminates the airduct. The streak from left to center

on your screen, that is ordnance. The puffs of dust that emerge
from every door and window are comprised of plaster, glass
and children of God. Sortie: from the French word for exit.

Yesterday's sortie generation rate was robust. There was
substantial suppression of adversary air assets.
See the streaks and smoke from gun-camera imaging. Poof.

The coalition forces remain united in their confidence
in the continuation of non-negative outcomes.
The colonel will now address your questions.
